Preposition of Movement: Into, Out Of, Across, Through, Along

Preposisi gerakan menjelaskan ke mana dan lewat mana sesuatu bergerak. Sangat berguna untuk memberi dan memahami petunjuk arah.

Penjelasan

  • to = ke (tujuan): go to campus. into = masuk ke dalam: get into the car. out of = keluar dari: get out of the taxi.
  • across = menyeberangi dari satu sisi ke sisi lain: across the street, across the river.
  • through = melewati bagian dalam: through the forest, through the door, through the tunnel.
  • along = menyusuri: walk along the beach. past = melewati (di samping): go past the mosque.
  • up / down = naik / turun: up the stairs, down the hill. over = melompati/melewati di atas: jump over the wall.
  • towards = menuju arah: walk towards the station. around = mengelilingi: walk around the lake.
  • Kendaraan: get on/off untuk bus, kereta, pesawat, motor; get in/out of untuk mobil dan taksi.
